For clinic owners and team organisers

Begin with a useful question.
Then agree the scope.

A dental clinic is more than a room with chairs. Clinical procedures, assisting, records and preparation place different demands on different roles. A useful workshop starts with that context and gives the team practical options to discuss and practise.

ZACH currently provides movement, training and education. Your contact and session provider is Zacharias Razvi, a final-semester physiotherapy student. Individual diagnosis and authorised physiotherapy are not part of this offer.

01

Understand.

Learn how task demands, duration and variation relate to the questions a team can reasonably address.

02

Practise.

Explore suitable movement options and ways to make familiar activity fit a working week.

03

Review.

Choose a practical observation and an organiser review point. Use feedback to decide what happens next.

Start with one session

A clear format.
A practical takeaway.

Use the existing Movement at Work Workshop format for your dental team. The planning conversation can focus the content on the clinic’s roles, available space and routine.

Possible topics include understanding work demands, planning variation, practising familiar movement options and choosing a realistic activity routine. The final agenda is agreed in advance.

The workshop introduces ideas and practice. It is not a clinical screening, a formal occupational-health assessment or a promise to prevent injury.

A possible programme pathway

Keep the next step
proportionate.

A longer programme begins with an agreed scope. The pathway below is a proposed format, not an existing client case. Follow-up is quoted separately unless explicitly included in the written agreement.

  1. Define the brief. Discuss team roles, location, available time and practical goals. Decide whether education, group movement or individual training guidance is the appropriate focus.
  2. Deliver the session. Work through the agreed topic and familiar movement options. Provide the one-page summary so the team can revisit the practical points.
  3. Try one routine. Choose an agreed opportunity in the working week. Review usability and participation; avoid turning a small pilot into a claim about injury prevention.
  4. Review the fit. Discuss what was used and what needs adjustment. Decide whether to stop, simplify or request a defined follow-up programme.

Illustrative planning example

A clear place
in the clinic day.

A proposed sequence for discussion with the organiser. This is not a tested schedule or a universal break prescription; patient care, hygiene requirements and individual participation come first.

BEFORE THE WORKSHOP

Agree the question.

The organiser describes the roles and available time. ZACH proposes an agenda and practical space requirements.

AN AGREED TEAM SLOT

Learn and practise.

Reserve the 60-minute workshop outside scheduled patient appointments. Introduce one or two usable movement options.

AFTER THE SESSION

Notice what fits.

Use the summary and choose a realistic opportunity to revisit it. A separate review can be agreed if needed.

Routine organiser feedback can cover attendance and usefulness. Individual health conversations are not included in employer reporting.

Understand the evidence

Research with
the limits visible.

Studies of exercise in dentists with existing neck pain answer a different question from preventing new injuries in every dental team. Read the population, dose, comparison and follow-up before using a result to justify a programme.

Before you arrange a session

Practical questions.

Who can take part?

The workshop can be planned for dentists, dental hygienists and dental assistants, with the audience and participation options agreed beforehand. Research findings are kept specific to the professional groups actually studied.

Does this replace an equipment or workplace assessment?

No. This is education and movement guidance. Equipment-specific questions and formal occupational-health needs may require the supplier or an appropriate specialist. The scope should be clear before the session is arranged.

What if a colleague has ongoing symptoms?

A group workshop does not diagnose or treat individual symptoms. Persistent, worsening or concerning symptoms should receive appropriate individual assessment. Participation options can be discussed without sharing medical details in an initial website enquiry.

Can we arrange online or longer support?

Corporate digital sessions and defined workplace programmes are available for discussion through the main Corporate Health page. The audience, deliverables, location, schedule and fee are agreed before acceptance; follow-up is not automatically included in the starting workshop.
